My Birth Doula services are designed to help a family achieve the birth experience they  desire. I provide physical and emotional support as well as education and help navigating the policies and procedures of hospital birth. I support the mother and her family as they make the decisions for their birth that are best for them. I support families in hospital, birth center and home birth. Included in the birth package are: Initial meeting to see if we make a good fit since it is very important that you are comfortable with everyone attending your birth. 2 prenatal visits so that you can get familiar with me and I with your wants, needs and expectations as you prepare for this new baby. Handouts covering a range of topics from pregnancy, testing and laboring to feeding, infant care , screening, vaccinations and many other topics. Personal support by phone or email for any questions you may have or if you just need an ear to listen to your concerns! Assistance with writing a birth plan Assistance with making a belly cast if you wish. I have an extensive library of books on pregnancy and birth you may borrow from. 24 hour "on-call" availability starting at 37 weeks gestation. Immediate assistance upon the onset of labor, or when you choose to call me. I will come to you when you are ready and I do not leave until approx 1- 2 hours after the birth of the baby. I like to make sure mom is fed and has a bath and has a chance to nurse the baby and generally get settled as a new family before I leave. 1 post partum visit to help you adjust to this new time in your life, help with breastfeeding and time to review your birth experience with you and answer any questions you may have, including referrals for Post Partum Doulas and Lactation Consultants if needed. I work in partnership with 2 DONA Certified doulas in a back up arrangement. You are welcome to meet them as well. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& My fee for services starts at  $650.00 (price may vary based on location) 1/2 down upon hiring me as your doula and the balance due at the 2nd prenatal visit. There is a $50 discount if you choose to pay the entire fee upfront. Please call, even if the fee is out of your price range. I am committed that every woman has a doula that wants one. If financial arrangements can't be made, I can refer you to low cost or doulas- in- training offering pro-bono services. *********************************************************************************
